Light and form are the most important challenges in my work, whether the subject matter be a still life, a glowering winter landscape or a life study.

For my portraits I usually work in oil or pastel, but I go with the feel of the subject and regularly work in acrylic, drag pastel across sandpaper, flood paper with coloured water or use all at the same time.

Working with others has been an inspiration and has helped my work evolve.

More recent work shows my venture into various forms of printing.
