NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE 2024 ART TRAIL

Lucy Bagot comes from a family of artists including her father, grandfather, sister and niece. Two grandaughters are also studying art. Lucy studied at the Heatherley School of Art, Hornsey Art College and Ealing Technical College for a Diploma in Photography.
She worked for 23 years as a children’s portrait photographer then on interiors and gardens for guide books of historic houses.
Since moving back to the area, she worked for Bonhams auctioneers for 10 years, a local firm of garden designers for 10 years and since 2012 she has been painting. She has exhibited at Levens Hall in a solo exhibition, is a member of Kendal Art Society and has exhibited there for many years. She has also exhibited at the Lakes Artists exhibition.
Lucy’s passion for gardening and flowers are reflected in her work and, influenced by Norfolk artist Martin Kinnear, she has developed a fascination in the effects of light and colour.
