I braved my first drawing class in 2021, at The Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal, when facing retirement after three busy decades in a hugely satisfying role as a rural GP in the Upper Eden Valley. The new found time and headspace has given me chance to explore my creativity and this fits well with my life love of wild natural landscape and a need to be in it.

I feel very much a novice, but want to continue making art, hopefully improving and in particular explore ways of getting light and colour into my work.
