My name is Clare Addison and I work for a Kendal based Art/Mental Health Charity, Space2Create. The charity offers a wide range of creative drop-in sessions for adults suffering with, or recovering from, long term mental and physical health conditions.  I am extremely passionate about art and using it as a tool to support people’s well-being.

As a child, I loved making things.  I was a part-time primary teacher for many years and subject lead in Art and Design Technology. Alongside this, I was a session volunteer at Space2Create.  I was inspired by the creative sessions and started creating myself at home.  I particularly enjoyed lino printing.

I now work as the Operations Manager at Space2Create and in my spare time, I love creating and trying out new ideas for sessions at Space2Create.

I don’t have a studio but work from home, using photographs from wild swimming as inspiration for my lino printing.
